REEL BREAKDOWN
1. Chiquito, Short Film - Beco do Batman Set (Brazil, SP)

Created in Maya, textured in Substance Painter, rendered in Arnold, compositing in Nuke, and color graded in DaVinci. The FX were created in Houdini and rendered with Redshift. I'm co-directing this film alongside my teammate Lesley Marroquin. I was able to render Houdini light passes that helped me build the lighting in Nuke, which interacted with the environment for the FX. In the close-up, I animated the main green light that represents the lighting coming from the teleportation device.
I wanted to create a real-life setting for the film in my home city, called Beco do Batman, which is a tourist attraction known for its graffiti murals. My goal was to replicate the atmosphere of the real street in CG.

2. Lighting Lab Contest - Lighting Beca 2025

Created in Maya, Arnold, and Nuke. This is my most recent personal project! The goal for this contest was to choose a lighting reference and match the values and color palette. I was inspired by Little Women (2019), a movie that, since I first watched it, has captivated me with its cinematography and vibrant colors. I made some minor adjustments to the shading to match the color palette and resemble the environment from the reference.

3. Passion Fruit and Mango Cheesecake

Created in Maya, textured in Substance Painter, rendered in V-Ray, compositing in Nuke, and color graded in DaVinci. I wanted to improve my shading skills with translucent materials and SSS since it has always been one of my biggest struggles in CG. I decided to challenge myself to work on a photorealistic piece, aiming to recreate food. I chose a passion fruit and mango cheesecake because I love passion fruit! It was my first time using V-Ray and compositing mainly with shader AOVs.

4. Posh Baby, Madame Alexander Commercial

I worked on this project as a CG Generalist. I was mainly in charge of environments and visuals, recreating the Empire State Building for the opening shot and being responsible for all shading, lighting, compositing, and color grading for the shots in this exterior environment. I also assisted with layout positioning, cameras, and collaborated closely with the character TD, Ausar Jonhson, and the director, Michelle Marakasherry!

6. Persepolis, Short Film

"Persepolis" is a CG film directed by Jessica Kiev. I worked on this project as a lighter, working closely with the director and other lighters in the team to make sure the shots would match and follow the same color pattern in the final cut of the film.

5. Intrepid, Short Film

"Persepolis" is a CG film directed by Ausar Johnson and Anshul Katkar. I worked on this project as a lighter. The lighting I worked on for this shot was later also used as a rig for some of the shots in the same scene.

7. Chiquito, Short Film - Time-lapse

Created in Maya, textured in Substance Painter, rendered in Arnold, composited in Nuke. This is one of the shots in my thesis film, "Chiquito"! It was fun facing this challenge of working on a time-lapse sequence where the lighting changes from morning to afternoon. I created three base lightings for this shot: morning, noon, and afternoon. After making sure all the colors and contrasts looked coherent, I animated the lights and made sure the transition between each time of the day was natural.
