About me
Hello, welcome to my website!
I'm Anna Riva. I'm a 3D generalist with a focus on lighting, look development, and environment modeling. I graduated this year in 3D Animation and Visual Effects at the School of Visual Arts in NYC, but I was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil.

I never expected to major in animation, especially 3D animation. For a long period of my life, I thought I wasn't a creative person. The reality is that I was just too scared to try something new and fail in the process. I think art and creative careers, in general, are also about self-discovery. I was scared I wouldn't be able to "create a style", but I slowly learned that all that meant was for me to express myself through my art, portraying how I perceived the world.

I can say my biggest artistic inspirations are my favorite animations: Toilet-bun Hanako-kun, Evangelion, and Great Pretender, in 2D, and in 3D animations with unique styles such as Spider-Verse, Arcane, and Puss in Boots. I love using bright and saturated colors in my art, so I often reference these artworks.

I like the shift that is happening in the industry now. The 3D medium is being pushed to its full potential, experimenting with different styles and looks while exploring new technologies. I'm excited to be part of this new era of animation!
